What I'm Loving Wednesday: 5.8.13

Ho. Ly. Mo. Ly.

There are 15 (FIFTEEN!!!!!) days left in this school year.

I can't stinking believe it...ack!

Here's what I'm loving this week:

I have joined Weight Watchers.

I have tried (and failed) and tried (and failed) and tried (and...you guessed it...failed) on the 17-Day Diet every time I've tried.

I found that I am the type of person who wants what she can't have.

I love Weight Watchers because if I want a glass of wine I can have one.

Check out that English muffin that I'm rocking.

I haven't eaten bread in FOREVER.

I've been eating my total points each day and I've already lost 2 pounds.

I've also gone to the gym 4 days in a row!

I'm loving a lot here...

I'm loving that my cousin Marc (after being a part of a really crappy and biased Facebook conversation that disparaged public school teachers) made sure to let me know that I'm appreciated as a teacher.

(He would have anyway because he's the bomb diggity.)

I love that dude...and his wife and kids!

I'm loving that we have had G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. weather this week.

My nuggets and I have gone outside to be together every day so far.

Today we went outside for writing.

I needed to display a chart and thumbtacks did the trick nicely.

We are also working on problem and solution in class, so we talked through my problem and how I could solve it.

It's just too darn nice outside to keep my nuggets locked in our room.

What I'm Loving Wednesday: 5.1.13

Woo hoo!

I got the date right the first time!

That's a big deal for me...I usually have to go back and change it.

Here's what I'm loving this week:

I'm loving that I got my stairs done this weekend.

I'm loving this blanket and all it's colors.

I'm also loving the method of laying out color progressions for a blanket.

I'm loving that I spent an hour or so roaming my local farmer's market this weekend.

I can't wait to do it again.

I go at least once a week in the summer.

I'm loving these succulents that I got while roaming the market.

I'm loving that I got to crochet my brains out on Monday night.

I'm hating that I had to do it during two show finales.

Dang you season-endings!

I'm loving that Handsome Husband said that I may have cooked him his favorite meal last night.

Pork chops (cooked in white wine), caramelized bourbon onions, roasted zucchini and summer squash, and Stove Top.

I LOVE cooking and felt so relaxed while I was doing it.

I'm loving that I joined a photo challenge for the month of May.

I'm loving that I found the most PERFECT little table for in front of the window in the living room.

I just happened to stop in at a local second hand shop and found this beauty for $12.00.

What I'm Loving Wednesday: 4.10.13

Thank heaven's I'm back on Indiana time!

Whew!

3 hours of sleep Sunday night made for a very tired me Monday and Tuesday.

Here's what I'm loving this week.

I'm loving this picture of Handsome Husband and I right before our whale watching trip.

I'm loving that I got to spend some time in the sun last week.

I'm loving this burger that I had at Father's Office last Friday.

This was in Santa Monica...that was pretty great, too.

I'm loving that they had the most AMAZING beer selection.

I'm loving that I tackled my fear of raw fish and had something other than a veggie or California roll when HH and I go for sushi.

It was DELICIOUS!

I'm loving that I got HH to join Instagram.

I'm not loving that I had to request to follow him!

JK. :)

I'm loving that HH and I made it home in one piece.

We were so stinking tired.

Red eye flights do just that.

It felt like the worst hangover of my life...without alcohol!

What I'm Loving Wednesday...California Edition

I am in heaven.

I am currently sitting in my aunt's living room surrounded by my awesome cousins.

It doesn't hurt that I walked around in the sun all day and that the door is hanging open to let the cooling breeze come through.

Eve is sitting next to me trying to beatbox or something...the joys of being 4.

I'm basically loving everything this week, but here are some greats.

I'm loving...

sitting at Starbucks with an iced coffee in my hand and the sun on my face;

hanging with my cousins that we only see once a year or so;

listening to Eve sing along to the radio while sitting next to me on the couch;

that I have spent less than an hour on technology of any kind while in Cali (up until now!);

Eve's quotes...(being a goober)... 

Eve:  "What's your name?"  

Me:  "Cousin." (that's what she's been calling Handsome Husband and I this week.)

Eve:  "Kevin?!"

Me:  "Hahahahaha!  Yes, Kevin."

I'm basically loving EVERYTHING about California.

What I'm Loving...3.27.13

Happy workaholic Wednesday!

Today is my first day of spring break and I have been running my tushie off all day!

Ug-er-oonie, Batman.

Even though I've been running around all day, I'm loving that I am on spring break until April 7th!

We get a week and a half this year.

Woot woot!

I'm loving that my mom told me I had a "Memere (my grandma) moment".

I remembered that I didn't have any coffee creamer left this morning when I went down to get my "getting ready" cup-o-joe.

I then couldn't figure out why the coffee looked clear.

Duh!

I turned the machine on but forgot to pour the water in.

I was pretty excited since I didn't have to waste any coffee.

It just doesn't taste the same with skim milk.

I'm loving that my feet are out of hibernation.
My mom and I got manis and pedis today.
I am rocking my black French manicure on my toes.

I'm loving that because of this blog I decided to check out what Forever 21 had to offer.

I used to shop there, but didn't think that their stuff would fit my figure.

I was happily proven wrong!

I got 3 really cute light-weight shirts for our trip to LA and an adorable makeup case.

I'm loving that a friend of mine suggested putting tape on my arm or leg to remind myself of things that I often forget.

It's worked every time.

I'm loving these funny tea-smelling directions at the local coffee shop.

It's kind of sad that they're needed...

I'm loving that I'm a real lady now.

I have more than one perfume to my name for the first time in my life.

My perfume samples in my Birchboxes has made me realize that I like having a choice in scent each day.

Although the fact is, I read it THE DAY OF our meeting!

Oh well...at least I did it!

It was great!

A very easy read and entertaining.

I'm loving that my new friend Faye got me a gift card to my favorite jewelry spot!!

I'm loving the Vegas Night we went to with HH's parents on Saturday.

You've gotta love dollar blackjack.

I jokingly said that I should teach my nuggets how to play blackjack since they could practice having to add quickly.

Notice that I said it was a joke...no worries.

I won't be starting any recess-time gambling rings.

I'm loving the fact that I think I was born to be a teacher.

A bucket full of freshly sharpened pencils gives me butterflies in my stomach and puts a smile on my face.

It's ok...you can say it.

I'm a dork...adorkable that is!

I'm loving this little nugget.

This was a great birthday greeting!

I can't believe how big she's getting.

She is army crawling now!

I'm loving being reminded that sometimes you've gotta have a little faith...

And coffee.

I'm loving that I figured out how to crochet the granny square that I was crushing on.

I had crocheted a few sample squares to figure out what yarn I wanted to use, what colors, and to practice the pattern.

I now have the first two granny squares for my very first afghan.

I'm loving this much needed picture that I got during an intense meeting today.

How can you not want to cuddle up to that??!

(I'm also loving that she's wearing the new slouchy beanie that I made for her!)

I'm loving that HH bought me breakfast and lunch for my birthday.

Coffee and a bagel from a local restaurant for breakfast and sushi for lunch.

I'm a lucky girl!
